Joseph Pluta, Attorney at Law

A native of Trenton, New Jersey, Mr. Pluta completed his undergraduate education at Brown University in 1971 and graduated from law school at the University of San Diego in 1978. He was admitted to practice law in California in the same year, and he has since been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the southern and eastern districts of California. His primary focuses are that of workers’ compensation, social security disability, personal injury law and employment law.
Attorney Joseph Pluta is a certified specialist in the field of workers’ compensation law, and his practice is one of only a few law firms throughout Bakersfield that holds such certification by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Through meticulous scrutiny of his understanding of the subject matter, his qualifications, recognition by his peers and his involvement within The State Bar of California, Joseph Pluta achieved this astute certification on October 15, 2011. He continues to dedicate at least 25 percent of the practice to workers’ compensation claims.
Thus far, Joseph Pluta has fought for over 5,000 employees to secure their workers’ compensation benefits. Over the course of 30 years, he has gone before the California Department of Industrial Relations and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board to represent clients in approximately 1,500 administrative hearings and trials. Furthermore, he has navigated the areas of personal injury law for disabled clients.
Our practice operates on the firm stance that our clients pay nothing unless we are able to win their case. We cover all of the upfront charges associated with claim filing or appeal handling. In the event that we are successful, our clients agree to pay us a percentage of the compensation that is awarded to them. Our goal is to make the process as turnkey and stress free as possible for our clients. We value your time, and we will work endlessly to ensure you receive that which is deservingly yours. Serving injured workers since 1981.
